The Professional Photographers of Canada recognize achievement by accepting images in competitions, by gaining accreditations and by service to the organization and the public. In doing this, merits are accumulated and after many years, I’m very happy and proud to say that I have achieved the level of Master of Photographic Arts (MPA).
To give you a little perspective, every image that is accepted for exhibition in the National Salon is awarded 60 merits. For service, such as chairing a committee, merits are 20 and up. 1500 merits are needed for the MPA, plus a minimum of 2 accreditations.
Thanks to all the people who have helped me make it to this stage in my career, my instructors, mentors and friends.
